The origins of the collections of the Museum of Natural History dates back to Carmagnola Carmagnola naturalist Giacinto Carena (Carmagnola, April 25, 1778 - Turin, March 8, 1859), former Secretary of the ' Royal Academy of Sciences in Turin .
