Build a bug hotel

Insects are an important part of a healthy garden.

By making a bug hotel, you will attract insects to your garden and you will be able to observe who checks in and how they live. Many of your garden's pollinators are solitary, such as butterflies, moths, ladybirds and solitary bees, looking for new spots to call home.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has a guide to building your bug hotel.
