Take a tour behind the scenes of the impressive Victorian library which was once Walter Rothschild’s research library and housed his personal book collection.

Normally closed to the public, librarian Cat O’Carroll will showcase some of the natural history treasures dating from the 16th- 20th Century, including rare books, early photography and original artworks.

    • Walking down a flight of stairs is required to gain access to the library. 
    • For security reasons, you'll need to bring photo ID, either your passport or driving licence with you.
    • Coats and bags can't be taken into our collection areas but can be stored in our cloakrooms.
