Before we open to the public for the day, join us with your young ones for a fun-filled morning of activities, workshops and crafts, highlighting the vital contribution women have made to science.

Join Mary Anning herself for a time-hopping tour of our balconies as she explores the amazing scientific projects that were made possible by women. Get up close with our handling specimens and learn about the research currently being carried out by our own female scientists. If that’s not enough, channel your inner entomologist as you get creative with 3D flies.

After this, grab your chance to stomp around our Dinosaurs Gallery, buzz about Creepy Crawlies, explore our Mammals Collection and feel inspired in our Images of Nature Gallery before our doors open.

We'll have a light breakfast ready for you when you arrive to power you through our exciting morning of activities. With so much to explore, why spend your Saturday morning anywhere else?
