Join us for the most spooktacular night of the year! This Halloween we creak open our doors for an evening of beastly boogies and scary specimens.

Celebrate the spookiest night of the year among skeletons and specimens.

Following last year’s sellout event, Halloween at the Museum will be back again and better than ever. We’ll have a live band performing in our hallowed halls, a silent disco and a host of ghostly activities.

Tickets include:

  • a Vampire Ball
  • a silent disco
  • the chance to chat with our scientists about their spooky specimens
  • after-hours access to our galleries and exhibitions

Accessibility information

  • This event is fully wheelchair accessible.
  • We can provide you with a wheelchair or folding chair to carry if you email us.
  • If you’re unable to wait in queues for long periods, speak to our security staff and they’ll fast track your entry.
  • Blue Badge parking spaces are available on request.

Visiting information

  • The event will begin at 19.00 and we can’t allow entry after 21.00.
  • Bookings are required and no refunds will be given.
  • Present a valid ticket at the door.
  • Some activities, including the silent disco, have limited capacity and will be available on a first come first served basis.
  • The event is for ages 18+ only. A valid form of ID must be shown on entry. We operate a Challenge 25 policy.
  • Avoid costumes with potentially harmful parts such as lit flames, sharp items or flammable materials. Wear suitable undergarments beneath your costume as we may ask you to remove any unsafe parts.
  • You cannot bring balloons in.
  • Enjoy alcohol responsibly. We reserve the right to refuse entry and to refuse to serve anyone who is or appears to be intoxicated. Tickets won’t be refunded in these circumstances.
  • We operate a zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
  • You can use our cloakroom for free during the event.
  • Tickets are for personal use only and can’t be resold, transferred or used for promotional, commercial or fundraising purposes without our prior written permission. Find out more about our ticketing terms.
  • Photography and filming may take place during the event in which you may be identifiable. These images may be used for marketing purposes on our website, social media and printed publicity materials. If you have any concerns about being photographed, speak to our staff at the event.
  • We reserve the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content. This is to ensure that we always deliver a safe and excellent experience for everyone.
