Celebrate the spookiest night of the year among skeletons and specimens.

Following last year’s sellout event, Halloween at the Museum will be back again and better than ever. We’ll have a live band performing in our hallowed halls, a silent disco and a host of ghostly activities. Whether you choose a regular or premium ticket, expect a frightful night of spine-tingling entertainment, unforgettable encounters and eerie surprises.

Regular tickets include:

  • An immersive evening where you can explore our galleries among Vampiric Lords and Ladies. Discover the dark secrets of their bloodline when invited by the great Vampiric Council to attend the wedding of their leader.
    • speak with vampiric musicians, who’ll play haunting ballads between tales of their lives and legends
    • enjoy a vampire evening reception as an honoured guest, but don’t wander too deeply, else you might encounter some scary, uninvited ones
    • dress as a member of the Dark Vampiric Council and blend seamlessly into the gathering as the sinister ceremony unfolds
  • A silent disco in our Earth Hall.
  • The chance to chat with our scientists about their spooky specimens.
  • After-hours access to our galleries and exhibitions.

Or why not live it up with the undead and become a Very Important Vampire (VIV)? Premium tickets include all of the above, plus:

  • Access to a private VIV area.
  • Access to your own VIV bar.
  • A free drink as included in your VIV wristband.

Visiting information

  • The event will begin at 19:00 and we can’t allow entry after 21:00.
  • Bookings are required and no refunds will be given.
  • Present a valid ticket at the door.
  • Some activities, including the silent disco, have limited capacity and will be available on a first come first served basis.
  • The event is for ages 18+ only. A valid form of ID must be shown on entry. We operate a Challenge 25 policy.
  • Avoid costumes with potentially harmful parts such as lit flames, sharp items or flammable materials. Wear suitable undergarments beneath your costume as we may ask you to remove any unsafe parts.
  • You cannot bring balloons in.
  • Enjoy alcohol responsibly. We reserve the right to refuse entry and to refuse to serve anyone who is or appears to be intoxicated. Tickets won’t be refunded in these circumstances.
  • We operate a zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
  • You can use our cloakroom for free during the event.
  • Tickets are for personal use only and can’t be resold, transferred or used for promotional, commercial or fundraising purposes without our prior written permission. Find out more about our ticketing terms.
  • Photography and filming may take place during the event in which you may be identifiable. These images may be used for marketing purposes on our website, social media and printed publicity materials. If you have any concerns about being photographed, speak to our staff at the event.
  • We reserve the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content. This is to ensure that we always deliver a safe and excellent experience for everyone.
