New Year’s Eve: Party at the Museum

• This event is fully wheelchair accessible.
• There’s an accessible toilet on the Ground Floor at the back of Hintze Hall, under the stairs. We also have a Changing Places toilet on the Ground Floor of our North Wing.
• If you’re unable to wait in queues for long periods, speak to our security staff and they’ll fast track your entry.
• Blue Badge parking spaces are available on request.

• Doors open at 20:00, with last entry at 22:00.

• The event ends at 01:30 on Friday 1 January 2027.

• This event is for ages 18+ only.

• A valid form of photo ID must be shown on entry. We operate a challenge 25 policy.

• Bag searches will be in operation.

• You’re not allowed to bring your own alcohol. If you do, it’ll be confiscated.

• Bring an electronic or printed copy of your ticket.

• No refunds or exchanges will be given.

• A cloakroom will be available to use for free.

• If you have a members ticket, bring your membership card too.

• Further checks will be carried out at the VIP area.

• Some activities have a limited capacity. We can’t guarantee that everyone will have the opportunity to take part in every activity. Some activities will close before the event end time.

• Bars will close at 01:15.

• We reserve the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content of the activities. This is to ensure that we deliver a safe and excellent experience for everyone at all times.

• Photography and filming may take place during this event, in which you may be identifiable. These images may be used for marketing purposes on the website, social media and printed publicity materials. If you have any concerns about being photographed, speak to our staff at the event.

What if the event is sold out?

Sign up to our waitlist for the chance to buy tickets if they become available.

I can no longer make the event, can I have a refund?

If you can no longer make the event and it’s sold out, we’ll offer your tickets to the waitlist and refund you if they sell. If the event isn’t sold out, unfortunately, we can’t issue refunds within a 30-day period of the event.

Will food and drink be available to buy?

Yes. There’ll be a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to buy. There’ll also be light snacks as well as hot food.

Which areas will be open?

Hintze Hall, Earth Hall, our Dinosaurs Gallery, Images of Nature Gallery and Mammals Gallery will be open. You’ll also have the opportunity to see our popular Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep exhibitions.

What time can I arrive?

Doors open at 20:00, enter via our Central Entrance on Cromwell Road. Last entry will be at 22:00. If you arrive early, you may be asked to queue outside the main gates, so dress appropriately for the weather.

I can’t find my tickets, what should I do?

Email us at [email protected] stating your booking number and a short explanation of your situation and we’ll process the reissuing of your tickets.

What time will the event finish?

The event will finish at 01:30 but some activities will end before this time. Last orders at the bar will be 01:00 with bars closing at 01:15.

Is there a dress code?

There’s no official dress code, dress how you feel most comfortable. The theme for the event is Party at the Museum, so feel free to come in full glamour.

I have a very elaborate costume planned, are there any restrictions?

If you plan to wear an elaborate costume, wear appropriate clothing underneath. You may be asked to remove your costume if there are any health or safety concerns.
