Join us after the Sun's gone down and let your inner child go wild for a night of fun and games at the Museum.

Not only will you get to sleep over in the iconic Hintze Hall beneath the beloved blue whale, our grown up guests will be treated to a three-course dinner as well as loads of awesome activities to keep you entertained all night.

You can look forward to:

  • a live animal workshop with ethical handling company ZooLab
  • a pub quiz
  • a science show
  • stand-up comedy
  • an all-night monster movie marathon

If that's not enough to tempt you, bars will be serving drinks and nibbles until 00.45 and complimentary tea and coffee will be served from 21.00-02.30 and 7.00-9.30. In the morning you'll be served a cooked breakfast with the opportunity to join a yoga session and have your souvenir photo taken in our Dino Galley.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    These are specific to the Camp Sequoia experience and are supplementary to the standard event FAQs. 

    What time do I need to arrive and which entrance should I use?

    You must arrive at the Museum's Exhibition Road entrance by 18.45.

    What do I need to bring with me?

    As a Camp Sequoia ticket holder a standard single camp bed is provided for you to sleep on - please get in touch if you require dimensions.

    Everyone must bring a sleeping bag, toothbrush, and some clothes to sleep in (we recommend arriving in clothes you can sleep in to minimise luggage). Overnight clothes must be suitable for standing outside in the unlikely event of an evacuation.

    Shoes must be worn at all times in the Museum for health and safety reasons, apart from when you are sleeping.

    We advise you to bring a bottle of water, a pillow,  ear plugs and eye shades for sleeping as some lighting remains on overnight.

    We strongly recommend that you do not bring things that are of financial or sentimental value. The Museum takes no responsibility for loss of or damage to any items belonging to visitors.

    You are not allowed to plug any electrical items into the Museum's sockets during the event. So please bring a portable mobile charging bank if needed. Please get in touch if you require access to power or refrigeration for medical reasons.

    Please bear the weather in mind and bring layers according to the season. The temperature can fluctuate in the Museum.

    Where will I sleep?

    You will be sleeping on the upper balconies of Hintze Hall around the Sequoia.

  • Tours, important information and FAQs

    Tours 

    There are two tours available to book at each sleepover.

    Our Behind the Scenes Spirit Collection tour and another tour which changes with each event.

    Booking information will be emailed to all attendees before the event.

    Each tour is 30 minutes and ticket prices start from £15.

    Important information

    This event is for adults aged 18 and over, ID will need to be shown upon arrival.

    Bookings are required. No refunds will be given.

    The event will begin at 19.15 and we cannot allow entry after 20.00. 

    This event is not suitable for hen or stag parties. 

    Please read the Dino Snores for Grown-ups FAQs before booking to ensure you get the most out of the event.

    You may change your booking to an alternative Dino Snores for Grown-ups date as long as you inform us at least 30 days before the date of your original booking. Alternative dates are subject to availability and must take place within one year of your original booking. A £10 administration will be charged for each changed ticket.

    Disabled helper tickets are available upon request, subject to availability. Please call up our contact centre on +44 (0)20 7942 5000, and they will be able to arrange this for you.

    You will not be able to regain entry if you choose to leave the premises on the night of the event. 

    You will receive an email asking for your meal preference and dietary requirements within a month of the event date. We use a wide range of ingredients, with many of our products containing nuts, gluten, seeds and other allergens. So there may be traces of allergens present in our food and as such we are unable to present any of our choices as free from. We'd love to tell you what is in our food and help assist you with your choice so please get in touch if you have any questions. There will be pre-allocated seating in the restaurant for dinner. If you wish to be seated with others who have booked tickets separately, please include this information when you submit your preferences.

    The Museum reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content of the activities. This is to ensure that we deliver a safe and excellent experience for all guests at all times.

    Frequently asked questions 

    What should I bring?

    Everyone must bring a sleeping bag, toothbrush and some clothes to sleep in (we recommend arriving in clothes you can sleep in to minimise luggage).

    Overnight clothes must be suitable and warm enough for standing outside in the unlikely event of an evacuation.

    Shoes must be worn at all times in the Museum for health and safety reasons, apart from when you are sleeping.

    We advise you to bring a water bottle, a pillow, a torch, and eye shades for sleeping as some lighting remains on overnight.

    We provide thin foam sleeping mats but you may bring your own if you prefer. For health and safety reasons, we cannot allow any inflatable mats or mattresses over two inches thick. If you need to bring a specific sleeping mat for medical reasons, please let us know upon booking so we can ensure it meets our health and safety requirements.

    We strongly recommend that you do not bring things that are of financial or sentimental value. The Museum takes no responsibility for loss of or damage to any items belonging to visitors.

    You are not allowed to plug any electrical items into the Museum's sockets during the event, so portable chargers are recommended.

    Please keep luggage to a minimum.

    Do I need to bring food?

    A three-course dinner and cooked breakfast are included in the ticket price, so there is no need to bring other food. Water, tea and coffee will be served with dinner and other drinks and bar snacks will be available to purchase until 00.45.

    You will have an opportunity to notify us of any special dietary requirements when menu options are emailed to you in advance of the event.

    How do I get to the Museum?

    Plan the quickest and safest route by going to TFL's Website.

    What time do I need to arrive and which entrance should I use?

    Doors at the Cromwell Road entrance open at 18.30. You'll be given your camping mat on arrival and you will set up your camp for the night. The event will begin promptly at 19.15.

    What if I'm running late?

    If you think that you may not get here on time, please email us.

    Please be aware that you may miss some activities if you arrive late. We cannot allow entry into the event after 20.00, and no refunds will be given.

    Where will I sleep?

    Guests sleep in Hintze Hall. Sleeping areas allocated on a first come, first served basis.

    Is there a cloakroom?

    There is no cloakroom available during the event and your belongings will be kept in the sleeping areas. The cloakroom is available as usual when the Museum is open to the public between 10.00-17.30. You can leave your luggage in the cloakrooms during the day before the event however you will need to remove all of your belongings by 17.30 and regular rates will apply for storing luggage in the cloakroom.

    What hygiene facilities are available?

    Toilets are available for washing, teeth cleaning and changing however there are no showers available.

    Can I drink alcohol?

    Responsible drinking is permitted. There will be cash bars in various locations throughout the Museum until 1.00. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the Museum and anybody considered to be acting irresponsibly may be refused service of alcohol or asked to leave the event.

    Can I smoke?

    There will be a smoking area outside the Exhibition Road entrance doors until 2.30.

    Can I bring candles?

    No. Candles are not allowed.

    What if someone in my group falls ill?

    We have first-aiders available to assist.

    Can I add people to my group?

    You can add people to your booking if tickets are still available, but if the event is sold out this will not be possible. Please book early to avoid disappointment. You can make amendments to your booking up to 30 days before the event, however, we do not offer refunds.

    What if I need to cancel?

    We cannot offer a refund once you have purchased your ticket.

    If you need to amend a confirmed booking, the following conditions apply:

    If you would like to move the date of your event you must tell us at least 30 days before your visit.

    You can add extra people to your booking if tickets are still available, but if the event is sold out this will not be possible. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

    We are unable to confirm a booking until full payment has been received.

    Can I bring children to Dino Snores for Grown-ups?

    No. Dino Snores for Grown-ups is for those aged 18 and over only. We also run Dino Snores for Kids, which is suitable for children aged 7-11.

    Is this event suitable for people with access requirements or disabilities?

    Yes. Dino Snores for Grown-ups encourages participation from people with disabilities and aims to be inclusive and welcoming for all.

    We will do all we can to ensure additional needs are met and reasonable adjustments are made wherever possible.
