Weddings and private events

Dinner in Hintze Hall
The Museum's spaces offer a unique setting for romantic weddings and exclusive private parties.

We are delighted to offer wedding ceremonies for up to 15 people, in line with current COVID-19 updates. Please contact the Venue Hire team for more information.

As one of London's most iconic venues, we have a grant of approval to hold civil marriages and civil partnerships in twelve of our galleries. The spaces can be used for ceremonies, reception-only celebrations or both.

Hintze Hall is our largest venue, which can seat an impressive 450 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast. With its beautiful Victorian architecture and soaring arches, it provides the perfect setting to dance the evening away.

For a more intimate celebration, mingle with your guests in the beautiful Images of Nature Gallery or enjoy the contemporary Darwin Centre courtyard, ideal for a summer wedding or drinks reception.

Explore our varied venues below or download our brochure for more information about our wedding options.

For a perfect finishing touch, choose from an extensive range of gifts in the Museum Shop.
