A Shell of a Good Time

Attenborough Studio

10 August 2014 12:30 - 13:00, 14:30 - 15:00

There are tens of thousands of species of slug and snail, and they come in a bewildering array of shapes, sizes and colours. Join us today as we meet mollusc curator Jon Ablett and get introduced to some remarkable species from around the world. Ranging in size from a giant African land snail to tiny creatures less than two millimetres long, they will include the deadly venomous cone shell and the downright confusing slipper limpet, which starts life as a male and gradually turns into a female.
