This is an unmelted stony meteorite, or chondrite. It is part of the Parnallee meteorite that fell in India in 1857. The cut faces show small, round objects, or chondrules. These are solidified droplets of silicate minerals that were produced during the very earliest stages of the formation of the Solar System. They are about 4565 million years old.
