Taxonomy requires a great deal of expertise. Our work could not continue without the resource of experts on our staff.

With over 60 million life science specimens and 300 years of natural science study at the Museum, you need to be an expert to get the best out of our collections.
It can take many years for a junior curator to fully know a collection and its specimens. This makes our staff of researchers and curators extremely valuable.
