History and science of the expedition
CAHR supported Dr Beau Riffenburgh (Scott Polar Research Institute) in his in-depth research on the history and science of Captain Scott’s famous Antarctic expeditions.
To assist Beau, the team used a wide variety of specimens and related materials from Scott's expeditions, held in the Museum's collections.
This primary research informed the content of an exciting 2012 touring exhibition commemorating Scott’s extraordinary achievements.
