The online specimen database returns information about specimens in the Palaeontology collections that are computer catalogued. The database is intended to provide information to scientific enquirers.

- Taxonomic determination
are possible. We recommend searching by fossil group as this best reflects the broad organisation of the Palaeontology collections.
Online records are constantly updated but are not yet complete, so a null return for a search does not mean we do not hold the relevant specimens.
