Research

Interests

I am interested in molecular phylogenetics and evolution of fishes, in particular of gobies. I am using mitochondrial and nuclear genes to study the phylogeny of the major lineages of gobies. I am also interested in the phylogeny and population genetics of some species of Mesoamerican poeciliids (Heterandria and Xiphophorus).
