Charged-for learning activities: payment and cancellation conditions

This legal notice applies to all Learning activities at the Museum which carry an associated charge.

1. The booking window for paid Learning sessions closes 21 days before the date of the session. New bookings cannot be made after this point.
2. Payment must be provided for paid Learning sessions at the time the visit is booked. Sessions cannot be held or reserved without payment.
3. All bookings must be paid for using a credit or debit card. The Museum no longer accepts BACS as a method of payment.
4. Bookings can be cancelled for a refund or amended up to 28 days before the date of the visit. The Museum is unable to move bookings or provide a refund after this point.
5. Cancellations can be made by calling +44 (0)20 7942 5000; once cancelled, our team can provide a confirmation email on request.
6. Learning sessions are scheduled for specific times, and if those booked to attend are running late, we may need to adjust or cancel the activities that have been booked.
7. If running late, you can contact our Learning Operations Manager by calling +44 (0)7887 995 953. The Learning Operations Manager will try to accommodate lateness, but this may not be possible.
8. The Museum cannot refund a booking if the Learning session was missed due to lateness.
9. In rare cases, we may need to cancel Learning activities due to unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, we will contact the lead adult on the booking and offer appropriate alternatives. If these alternatives are not suitable, we will offer a full refund.
10. If the behaviour of anyone in a Learning activity adversely affects the safety or enjoyment of other visitors or staff, we may need to stop the activity and/or require the group to leave. A refund will not be provided in these circumstances.
