The Anning Rooms are a new suite of rooms for the use of Members and Patrons. 

Located over two floors in the iconic Waterhouse Towers at the heart of the Museum, this exclusive space celebrates the Museum’s world-class collections and contribution to science. 

Inside the rooms

  • a restaurant serving delicious lunches, snacks and cakes open 10.00-17.30
  • lounge and study areas
  • a spectacular cabinet of curiosities, rising through the lobby
  • reproductions of the original Museum sketches by the architect Alfred Waterhouse

Guest policy

Named adult members may bring one guest at a time into the Anning Rooms. The rooms have a limited capacity and this policy is to ensure the safety and accessibility of Members at all times.

Mary Anning

The Anning Rooms are named in honour of legendary fossil hunter Mary Anning.
