In January Pokémon celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. To mark the occasion, we brought an exclusive pop-up shop to fans – a first of its kind for Pokémon with a UK museum.

We transformed our Earth Hall Shop into a Pokémon pop-up shop experience, with exclusive products designed especially for the collaboration.

Due to popular demand, the pop-up shop will now remain open for a limited extended run. During the original run, you needed to book a ticket to visit the pop-up shop, but for the extended run you won’t need to book a ticket to enter, just turn up.

When we first opened the pop-up shop, each visitor to it was gifted a free, oversized Pikachu at the Museum trading card. These cards are now out of stock, so you won’t receive one when you visit the pop-up.

We’re making a few changes to our Pokémon pop-up shop.

At the end of July, we’ll be removing the Pokécology panels from the entrance to the shop to help with movement in the space. We know these have been a much-loved part of the experience and appreciate the enthusiasm shown for them.

The pop-up remains open and you’ll be able to continue to enjoy the beautiful, handcrafted window display and carefully curated Pokémon-inspired range. We look forward to welcoming you.

Can’t make it in person? No problem, you can buy most of the products in the collection through our online shop.

Visiting information

  • You won’t need a ticket to enter the Pokémon pop-up shop, but we recommend you book a free entry ticket to the Museum.

  • The pop-up shop will be open until stock lasts. To ensure you can plan ahead, we’ll confirm the closing date on our website at least two weeks in advance of the last day.

  • There won’t be a limit on the number of items you can purchase.

  • Some of the original stock has already sold out. To get an idea of what stock is available check our online shop.

  • We’ll manage the capacity of the shop carefully. You may have to wait in the queue before you can enter.

  • All ages are welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • The shop sells exclusive products designed especially for the collaboration.

  • We may need to make changes to the pop-up shop to ensure visitor comfort. If we do, we’ll announce it on this page.

Accessibility information

  • The pop-up shop is on the Ground Floor of our East Wing and is fully accessible.

  • The nearest entrance is our East Entrance on Exhibition Road. You can take a lift from there up to our Earth Hall, then go through the hall to the pop-up.  

  • Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are welcome in the pop-up. 

  • Buggies and pushchairs are welcome in the pop-up, but if you’d prefer, you can pay to store them in our cloakrooms.

  • Blue Badge parking spaces are available on request. Spaces are limited and subject to availability.

  • We can provide you with a wheelchair or folding chair, subject to availability, to carry if you request it at either of our two cloakrooms upon arrival.

  • If you’re unable to wait in queues for long periods, speak to our security staff and they’ll fast track your entry.

  • Guide dogs are welcome at the Museum. Water for them is available on request.

  • The nearest accessible toilet is on the Lower Ground Floor of our Central Building next to the lift. We also have a Changing Places toilet on the Ground Floor of our North Wing.

Frequently asked questions

I didn’t get a ticket – will there be another chance?

Any returned tickets will become available on the See Tickets site, nhmpe.seetickets.com.

Do general admission tickets to the Museum give me access to the pop-up shop?

No, general admission entry tickets to the Museum don’t give you access to the pop-up shop. You have to book tickets for the pop-up shop through See Tickets.

I have a Pokemon ticket. Do I need a Museum general admission ticket too?

Your ticket for the pop-up shop will permit access to the rest of the Museum’s free galleries after you have exited the shop until our closing time.

You’ll have access to the Museum up to 10 minutes in advance of your shop entry time. If you want to come into the Museum much earlier than your shop entry time, book a Museum general admission ticket to guarantee access to the free galleries, subject to availability.

I signed up to the priority list – why couldn’t I book a ticket?

We’re sorry you couldn’t book a ticket this time. Unfortunately, we have a limited number of tickets to meet incredibly high demand.

Can’t you just add more tickets?

To give as many fans as possible a chance to visit, we have extended the pop-up shop by an additional four weeks. However, tickets are limited to ensure we can manage capacity while providing an enjoyable, safe and comfortable pop-up shop experience for everyone.

How long should I plan to spend in the pop-up?  

We expect you’ll want to spend around 30 minutes inside the pop-up. This will give you enough time to see the display and browse the products. 

We’ve given everyone a time slot. If you spend longer than your allotted time and the pop-up is very busy, we may ask you to leave so that we can manage the capacity. 

Is there a limit to how many tickets I can book?

Yes, you can only book a maximum of four tickets.  

Will tickets be available at the door?  

Ticketing for the pop-up is being managed by See Tickets and will only be available online. Tickets will not be available at the door. 

Are there any age restrictions or recommendations for the pop-up? 

All ages are welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  All children and adults require a ticket, including babies.

Are buggies and pushchairs allowed inside the pop-up? 

Buggies and pushchairs are welcome inside the pop-up, but if you’d prefer, you can pay to store them in our cloakrooms.

Is the pop-up wheelchair accessible? 

The pop-up is on the Ground Floor of our Red Zone and is fully accessible. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are welcome in the pop-up. 

The nearest entrance is our East Entrance on Exhibition Road. You can take a lift from there up to our Earth Hall, then go through the hall to the pop-up.  

I can no longer make my time slot, can I swap it for another time or cancel it?  

Ticketing for the pop-up is being administered by See Tickets. Head to seetickets.com and click the Customer Support tab on their homepage. There you’ll be able to enter your details, see your booking and amend or cancel any tickets you have reserved, subject to availability. 

Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?

No, tickets are non-transferable and the ticket holder will need to be present to enter. Any tickets found to be resold will be cancelled.

How can I request a ticket for a disabled person's companion?

To request a free ticket for a disabled person’s companion, email [email protected] with details of your order.

I’ve got a later ticket - will there be stock left?

To give ticketholders fair access throughout the run of the pop-up and provide the best experience for attendees, purchases will be limited to one of each product. There will also be a limit on how many total products visitors can buy. The majority of the range will be available to buy from our online shop, and a select range will also be available at the Pokémon Centre UK Official Online Store, while stocks last.

What are you doing to prevent bots from buying up tickets?

To ensure tickets remain free and go to genuine fans, tickets are non-transferable. The person who booked will need to be present for the group to enter the pop-up, and any tickets found to be resold will be cancelled. We’re working closely with See Tickets, who have reassured us they use best-in-class bot prevention systems.

I’m a member, do I need a ticket?  

Yes, members also need a ticket to be able to visit the pop-up.  The members’ priority list is now closed.
