Early Riser Jurassic Tour
Discover the Jurassic collections we care for before we open to the public for the day on one of our special guided tours.
Want to learn all about the predators that lived in the oceans and on land during the Jurassic Period? Well then, our exclusive Jurassic Tour is just the thing for you!
In this out-of-hours tour, one of our knowledgeable guides will take you on a journey through time to learn about how these amazing creatures lived. Start your adventure on land as you meet the main characters in our world-renowned Dinosaurs Gallery. Then head into our new Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep exhibition, where you can explore at your own pace the fearsome creatures that lived in the deepest waters on the planet.
Find out how Jurassic predators were first discovered, how they adapted to life on Earth and why they’re so important to science today. Plus, you’ll have the chance to ask all your pressing dinosaur and megalodon questions!

The nearest accessible toilet is on the Ground Floor of our East Wing next to the lift. We also have a Changing Places toilet on the Ground Floor of our North Wing.

Visiting information
- All ages are welcome, but content is recommended for ages 7+.
- The tour will take place in our Dinosaurs Gallery and Waterhouse Gallery.
- Arrive at our East Entrance on Exhibition Road.
- We’re unable to provide refunds or exchanges to latecomers.
- You may change your booking to an alternative date as long as you inform us at least 30 days before the date of your original booking. Alternative dates are subject to availability and must take place within one year of your original booking. A £10 administration fee will be charged per booking.
