A cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus). The cheetah has a top speed of up to 114 kilometres per hour but this can only be maintained for short distances of a few hundred metres. Discovery Room

We have made some changes to the Discovery Room. The activities are now split over 2 floor levels:

Discovery Room – ground floor

Try your hand at colour-and-cut crafts or draw some of the animals on display. 

Discovery Room – first floor

Enjoy hands-on activities or chill out with some natural history-related jigsaws and children's books.

Activities are suitable for children of all ages.
