Museum telephonist, 1933. It took nearly 30 years from the first request to the Treasury, in 1883, to authorise the installation of a switchboard.
To arrange a visit or request information please contact the Museum Archives. When arriving for an appointment, make your way to the Main Library in the Blue Zone.
Once you’ve found the Museum, here’s how to find the Museum Archives:
Head to the Fishes, Amphibians and Reptiles gallery in the Blue Zone. We are located within the Library, which is opposite the Marine Invertebrates gallery. Please ring the doorbell on the left-hand side of the entrance.
