Diagnostic Features
  • Test oval in outline; much longer than wide, with thick, rounded margin.
  • Oral surface a little rounded, upper surface markedly depressed adapically.
  • 4 gonopores; apical disc subcentral. Hydropores in a groove.
  • Petals bowed and open distally. Plating includes some demiplates.
  • No food grooves.
  • Ambulacral very much wider than interambulacral zones at ambitus.
  • Basicoronal ambulacral and interambulacral plates of similar length. First paired post-basicoronal plates much larger than others.
  • Periproct oral, towards posterior margin. Opening at distal edge of first paired interambulacral plates and bounded by second paired interambulacral plates.

Monotypic.

Remarks

The thick margin, strongly elongate shape and numerous oral ambulacral plates distinguish this genus.
