Colliclypeus Smith, in Smith & Bengtson, 1991, p. 37

Diagnostic Features
  • Test flat-based and conical domed in profile
  • Apical disc monobasal, dominated by a large genital plate 2; four gonopores.
  • Ambulacra petaloid aborally; petals long, well developed and open distally, the two columns equally developed; extending to ambitus.
  • Phyllodes confined to adoral region; consisting of outer  and inner series  with buccal pores. All pores double below the petals
  • Peristome small, subcentral, with vertical-walled vestibule leading into the opening.  Interambulacral zones hardly swollen around the peristome 
  • Periproct ambital, close to the base.

Species Included Only the type species.
Classification and/or Status stem group Neognathostomata, Echinolampadidae?

Monotypic.
Remarks This was originally placed in the Clypeidae, but it seems closer to echinolampadids such as Clypeolampas in overall appearance. Distinguished from Clypeolampas by it marginal rather than inframarginal periproct.
