Diagnostic Features
  • Test ovate with distinct anterior sulcus; posterior face truncate and slightly undercut. Test depressed in profile.
  • Apical disc ethmolytic with four gonopores; a little anterior of centre.
  • Anterior ambulacrum narrow and weakly sunken from apex to peristome (deepest at ambitus). Pore-pairs small and undifferentiated.
  • Paired ambulacra petaloid; posterior pair slightly longer than anterior pair and flexed outwards distally. Petals long, parallel-sided and sunken, with narrow interporal zone.
  • Peristome kidney-shaped with projecting labrum.
  • Labral plate short and wide; not extending beyond ambulacral plate 1. Sternal plates elongate; episternal plates forming part of plastron. Sternal-episternal suture strongly convex towards anterior.
  • Periproct on posterior truncate face.
  • Subanal fasciole present; shield-shaped; with anal branches.
  • Peripetalous fasciole present; narrow; indented behind anterior petals.
  • Aboral tuberculation heterogeneous inside peripetalous fasciole.
