Diagnosis	Holasteroid echinoids with: orthosternous plastron; subanal fasciole generally present (secondarily absent in adults of some taxa). Adoral part crosses Ia plates 2a/3b.
Range	Maastrichtian to Recent; worldwide.
Remarks	The genus Ganbirretia Gauthier, 1903 may belong here but is currently too poorly known to place with certainty.
