Diagnostic Features	Periproct trigonal and weakly to strongly oblique; supramarginal in position; well separated from the apical disc. Apical disc with four genital plates, genital plate 2 elongate and extending to the posterior separating the posterior genital and ocular plates. Ambulacra with trigeminate plate compounding on the oral surface and simple plating aborally.
Distribution	Mid Cretaceous (Cenomanian) of Palestine.
Name gender	masculine
Type	Pseudopileus zumoffeni de Loriol, 1901, by monotypy (=Anorthopygus orbicularis Grateloup, 1836).
Species Included	Only the type species.
Classification and/or Status	Holectypoida, Pygasterina, Anorthopygidae. Subjective junior synonym of Anorthopygus Cotteau, 1869.
