Subfamily Emiratiinae Ali, 1990, p. 103

Diagnosis

 Emiratiidae with:

  • ambulacral plating polygeminate throughout; generally with four elements to a compound plate adorally and five or more from below the ambitus to the apex.
Range
Cretaceous (Barremian-Cenomanian), Europe, North and East Africa.
Remarks

Distinguished from Diplopodiinae and basal members of the family by the complete absence of trigeminate plating except immediately adjacent to the peristome.
