Diagnostic Features	Test shape ?spherical; plating thin and imbricate. Apical disc unknown. Ambulacra more or less straight and narrow; biserial. Plating simple with pore-pair on each plate, positioned adradially. Radial water vessel completely internal; no perradial flanges. Interambulacral zones wide; composed of about 6 semiregular columns of polygonal plates. Tuberculation unknown (based on internal mould). Peristome small, plating unknown. Lantern and spines unknown.

Species Included	Two other species have been included in this species, L. hunti Cooper, 1931, and L. whitnalli Cooper, 1931, both from the Devonian of the USA.
Classification and/or Status	Stem group Echinoidea; Lepidocentridae. Nomen dubium.
Remarks	The type species for this genus is based on an internal mould of the lower surface of a test. It is probably a lepidocentrid, close to Palaeodiscus, but meaningful comparisons are impossible given the inadequate state of knowledge we have about this taxon. Olsson, A. 1912.
