Diagnostic Features
  • Apical disc a little more than half the test diameter; much larger than peristome.
  • Interambulacra with large primary tubercle; tubercles perforate and non-crenulate with incised areoles.
  • A prominent naked zone runs down the interradius.
  • Ambulacral pore-pairs oblique and non-conjugate with raised interporal partition. Marginal tubercle on each plate plus a smaller secondary tubercle.
  • Primary spines very long (3-5 times test diameter); no terminal crown or basal disc. shaft ornamented with short, erect, conical stumps.
  • Secondary spines simple, not adpressed.
