Myself and my dinosaur mad 5 year old son found this tooth buried in a piece of chalk on Dunstable Downs, Beds on Sunday 15th April. Its triangular in shape, about one centimetre long and serrated on two sides. We're desperately hoping that a) its a real dinosaur tooth and b) someone can identify it for us. Please help. Paula
This looks to me more like a (fossil?) shark tooth, and it's missing the base. A shark/fossil expert could tell you more I'm sure. In the meantime, check out this photo - your specimen looks like the one in the middle.
