Bronze winged fly.

I saw a lot of these about on Friday last at Scadbury Park Chislehurst Kent and have no idea what they are.It was about 14/15mm long with attractive bronze wings.

It looks like a male Empis livida, but a bit on the large size, is that Hogweed it is feeding on?

Just had a proper look at the key and legs are not looking right. I don't think I would like to go beyond Empis sp without more experience but E.tesselata is the closest in size and the legs are a better fit.
