Please someone identify these for me!
Had them this time last year too.
Look like a flea but fly (and if I'm not mistaken, fleas don't fly)
Find about 10 a day on the trim of my patio doors and also a couple in the kitchen.
When on the trim, they look like fleas but don't move quickly at all but they do fly. They crunch when killed and then look like a little shuttlecock! They are brown (exactly like fleas!) but fly. Have check everything, carpet beetles don't fly, bed b ugs don't fly!
Please help, I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and don't want to leave the new owners with these little guests! I have ruled out fruit flies and all the obvious things. And have googled until my heart's content!
Both of you posted photos of Biscuit beetles, Stegobium paniceum. I've had many enquiries about them this month so I say let's change their name in May-beetles :-)
Thank you but from what i was reading in the link you've posted for the biscuit beetle is in europe and i'm in alaska usa. so looks like it's jump across the pond half the way around the world. eah what to do now. dang it! lol
ah ok thank you very much! i'll have to figure out if i need to take measures or not to clean any infestation has happened or not. it's positable it was just a strangler in the magazine since i just got in the mail the day before i saw it in the mag. thanks again Florin. i just wasn't having any luck online.
