My partner found this little beauty on our Wisteria sinensis today (24.6.14). Size; approx 5mm, location, Back garden, Wigginton, York, north Yorkshire, YO32. There was a hole in the leaf near to it but I'm uncertain if it was feeding or simlply resting. Please help me to ID it. many thanks :-)
On the basis of some photos I've seen recently on Flickr, I believe that it's a ladybird undergoing metamorphosis from the final instar of its larval stage into its adult form. Someone more expert than me may be able to say which species of ladybird (if I'm right about it being one).
