A trip to Galway for a night left my family and I to take advantage of the sudden change in the weather and head down to the beach.
While I walked around, I spotted an odd looking object partially sticking out between two rocks. I managed to extract it and upon first glance it seemed to be a tooth, or a horn. It's grey-brown in colour, and hollowed out, leaving it quite light.
I have no idea what it's from, so can anybody identify where the object came from please?
This looks to be a horncore (bone bit beneath the horn sheath) from cattle. There is a small chance that it is from a sheep as I can't see it too clearly, but I'm almost 100% certain that it's from cattle.
