Help identifying partial skeleton

Found on the beach of the Pacific Ocean coast in Washington State.  Approximately 15" long.  Thanks for any help!!

    This is the sternum (breast bone) of a carnivore. On the right end there is the attachment for the first rib, with the rib attached, and on the left end are more attachments for other ribs, the attachments are cartiladge. There would be an attachment for each 'segment'. I cannot narrow it down to a species but the size would suggest something the size of a small dog/fox.
