Here's an attractive blue eyed shield bug photographed on Tree Mallow, Lavatera arborea, on the island of Crete, Greece in March. In nine years on the island I've never seen any other even remotely like it and despite searching all the images that Google can find nobody else seems to have either (at least, nobody with a camera to hand). Anyone any ideas?
Very helpful and most interesting. It certainly appears to be Nezara viridula colour form 3. We have plenty of colour form 1 over here in Crete, colour form 2 I have never seen and colour form 3 is restricted to this one sighting in nine tears.
As previous observations of colour form 3 appear to be from Asia I have passed my observations of N. viridula in Crete to the original author of the paper you cited in your reply.
