Can anyone identify this spider for us? Finding them everywhere!

We keep finding these spiders in the house, this one was tucked up in my jumper which was in my wardrobe. So glad It fell off before putting it on .

So just curious now what type it is.

I shake all my clothes now before putting on:)

  • Whilst these spiders are not typically aggressive, it would be a good idea to continue to shake out your clothes, towels etc., as a bite is a distinct possibility if they are crushed against your skin. This would be unwelcome (discomfort for a couple of days), but not typically dangerous to healthy human.

This is a male Steatoda nobilis (Noble False widow), the males can be found in unusual & unexpected places, as they wander around looking for females (who tend to stay home in their web & are somewhat more predictable).

FWIW I found  couple, within days of each other, a couple of weeks ago - just drop them outside.
