    Hi

This is a dificult one are you for Wasps a great predator of garden pests or against

You can ask for the services of a pest controller

Use a Wasp insecticide based on suger

Clear the site and hope they go away

Place your fruit baskets elsewhere bearing in mind they attract wasps

Tell your children to keep clear

It comes down to -do you wish to kill them or keep them  I  was allergic to them 40 years back and the stings are painful  never the less surrounded by wasps and Hornets now  I let then be and touch wood have not yet come to harm

Normally a wasp nest is not occupied the following year hopefully they will move elsewhere next year

It is a difficult decision  the stings hurt and if many can cause serious problems but Wasps are not normally aggresive to humans unless they  perceived a threat If  you can live with them and share their lives with your children that will be wonderful

It's the beginning of April - isn't that early for a wasp colony? I'm still finding hibernating wasps in my garden. Are you sure they're standard social wasps?
