This bug appeared on our dog's lead on the Charter Avenue edge of Ten Shilling Wood, Canley, Coventry CV8. I just cannot find out what it is and am hoping somebody can help. Many thanks.
It is a bug, one of the Miridae, and I am fairly sure it is Acetropis gimmerthalii.
But note that your specimen is a nymph - so it doesn't look like the adult (which is what you'd find most-commonly illustrated). See the bottom-right photo on this page
I hadn't a clue and had hunted everywhere to identify this. I should have come straight here.
