Dissertation help!

I need to identify this for my dissertation, sorry it's a crappy photo, taken pH 8.7 stream in Consett, County Durham.

Sampled in early october, mostly larvae collected. DSCF2031.JPG

    Hi Katherine,

     

    Not sure what sort of level you need these identified to but pictures 1&2 are Diptera larvae, it looks like a Psychodidae (owl midges), there are two sub-families and I think this is in the Psychodinae (tribe Pericomini). Picture 3 looks like it only has a single claw which would mean it's an Ephemeroptera, although it could be an empty case. I can't go any further than that though,have you tried the FBA guide to freshwater invertebrates,
