Unusual badger thing (half eaten, gory)

Hi guys,

A customer of mine showed me this picture she had took. Its of an animal killed on the road that has had its guts eaten. It was close to a metre long and had been freshly killed/eaten. I've tried looking into what it is but the closest thing that I can find is the Japanese badger. Is that possible? Are they imported as pets etc? She does have another picture that shows the teeth and face stripes clearer. It has the long claws of a badger and is definately not a marten, weasel, mink etc. I've just texted her to send me across the other pictures to aid identification. The picture was taken in Cheshire.
