Bison, chimp, or...?

I found this necklace at an op shop. I am interested to know what sort of teeth they are.

My Biology teacher says they are chimpanzee teeth and my mum says an herbivore such as a bison.

Mum and I have a bet riding on this. Education should trump. I am sure my teacher was serious.

But mum says intuition is good too, and they do not put chimp teeth on cheap necklaces that end up in op shops

and that it is a Native American trinket. For one thing, mum thinks the shaft is not thick enough and the wear pattern

shows herbivore type chomping, like a horse would have.  But I said chimps eat plants too. We cannot find many pictures of all types of chimps' teeth.

Could anyone make a suggestion?
