Hi. Is this a small Annomite?

Is this a small Annomite, protruding from the side of a peeble?

    Hi Thomas

Yes that is an AMMONITE - if you say where it was from, I can say more

Hi, This looks like a simple 'prep' job (cleaning) and shouldn't be too costly. I don't know where you live / the fossil nodule resides, but if you're in Yorkshire there are several extremely good ones.

You could try gently removing some of the adjacent rock by pressing down on it with a small rock chisel or screwdriver or an old-fashioned gramophone needle, but I think it looks quite good as it is - you may get better advice from someone else soon.
