Bird, viewed from the back with its body turned slightly to the right and its head in profile facing left. It is perched on a tree stump on a green - grey base, against a plain background. The top of the bird's head is brown overlaid with black hatched lines, with a blue patch around the eye. The breast and belly are pale blue - white. The back is green, and the wings and tail brown, all overlaid with darker hatched lines. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
