hide detailed image description

Two details of a flowering tree or shrub and its fruit drawn at natural size, against a plain background. The top half of the sheet contains a detail of the inflorescence, with leaves which are green, very narrow and branching. The flower spike is composed of grey scales at the base, followed by a ring of fully opened flowers with narrow, separated white petals with yellow and red markings toward the end, and white buds. On the lower half of the sheet there is a detail of a grey-green cone, with a separate detail of a single scale with two brown hairy seeds. The drawing is annotated in brown ink.
