Bird in profile, facing to the left. It is depicted standing on a pale pink and brown rock, with water in the foreground and to the left. The upper parts of the bird are dark brown overlaid with black and pale blue stippled marks. The underparts are off-white with grey flecks. The wings are grey, edged with off-white. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
