Florida is losing more and more rural and wild habitat each year to accommodate an influx of people moving to the area. Carlton founded a campaign to protect a network of land to provide corridors for panthers to move through the state.

Carlton is a National Geographic explorer from Florida, USA, who uses photography to inspire conservation of his state's nature and culture. He founded the Florida Wildlife Corridor campaign in 2010 to build public support for the land conservation to keep Florida wild. He is the author of four books and a Founding Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers.
