hide detailed image description

Half-length portrait of an Aboriginal boy named Nanbree (also known as Nanbaree or Nanberry), holding a four-pronged fishing spear over his right shoulder with a basket suspended from it behind his back. His head is turned to the left giving a three-quarters view, with his eyes turned to the front. He appears to have some cloth wound around his waist and his left forearm. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and inscribed with the boy's name, also in pencil.
