| Description | This series contains microfilms of synoptic messages, meteorological report and pilot balloon data. These microfilms cover: daily synoptic messages for the period 1961-79; weather and pilot balloon data for the 1954-55 Rainey and Aspliden locust migration study; Northern Hemisphere data tabulations for the period Jan 1964-May 1971; synoptic data for Arabia for the period 1950-56. There is currently no information available how this microfilm data relates to paper copies of meteorological data held elsewhere in the archive. However, it is possible that there is some duplication, for instance with the weather data for the 1954-55 Rainey and Aspliden study (see Anti-Locust Memoir 7). |
