Could be from Alfred Russel Wallace's American tour 1886-87, UK tour 1890; RI lectures c 1908 or others, but BAAS meeting seems likely as he lectured there 'On the Varieties of Men in the Malay Archipelago' (Shermer, p. 153). Press cuttings may help date them. |
