Also numerous original letters to Spruce from Sir W. J. Hooker and others; Rough notes for the Introduction to his large work on Hepaticae, etc.; and a complete series of letters from Spruce to W. Borrer, 1843-48.' Signed by D. Prain (Director). Printed header show the Royal coat of arms above the words 'Royal Botanic Gardens Kew' in large Italic script.
